## Overview

**In-Person or Live Online** : This course is held in-person at 185 Madison Avenue in NYC from 10am-4pm each day. For live online summer courses, see our [Graphic Design Summer Course Live Online](/classes/graphic-design-summer-certificate).

The first section of the camp covers Adobe Photoshop. Students explore topics such as retouching photos, combining images, preparing graphics for the web, and more.

The next section covers InDesign comprehensively and includes creating page layouts with text, graphics, and multiple pages. Our young designers learn to style text, import photos + graphics, define/use colors, add multiple pages, and thread text frames (just to name a few skills).

Lastly, students begin their mastery of Illustrator and create numerous graphics throughout the course. Expert instructors guide students through the use of standard drawing tools, the Pen tool, Type, Compound Paths, Effects, Layers, Masks, Patterns, Blends, and Colors.

The course also brings AI into the conversation. AI is opening up new possibilities in graphic design, from generating visual concepts to speeding up production tasks, and you'll learn how these emerging tools relate to the hands-on skills you're picking up. Throughout this training, students will become confident in graphic design software and develop a greater understanding of the skills that professionals in design use daily.
