This self-paced course introduces high school students to the future of coding with Claude Code, an AI assistant that works directly in the terminal. More than a basic autocomplete tool, Claude Code can read entire projects, help find bugs, write new features, and make changes across multiple files. Through guided lessons and hands-on exercises, students learn how to use AI as a coding assistant, even with no prior coding or AI experience.

Students practice writing clear prompts that lead to useful results, debugging broken code with AI support, and building projects that span multiple files. The course also covers how to set up safety checkpoints before making changes, helping students stay in control of their code while experimenting with AI-powered development.

Method of Delivery: Self-Paced (complete the course on your own schedule through pre-recorded lessons and guided exercises).
Prerequisites & Ages: The program is designed for high school and college students. Prior coding/AI experience is not required, but students must be comfortable with computer basics.
Computer: Live online attendees should have their own Mac or PC.

How long do I have access to the course materials?

This course is available for 30 days.
You can choose when to start your access period. Once you activate, you will have 30 days to complete it (access the course materials, quizzes, projects and videos). You may request one extension of seven (7) days. Other extension requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Videos are not downloadable.

What is the cancellation and refund policy for this single course?

However, you may need to obtain required software. We’ll help you get set up with a free trial of paid software prior to the class. Most of our coding classes utilize freely-available open-source software. For most of our design and motion graphics courses, we will help you get set up with a free trial of Adobe Creative Cloud. If you attend the course in-person, we will have a computer already set up for you with all of the required software for no additional cost.
