Learn to create user-friendly, engaging apps and websites in this hands-on summer program in NYC, which breaks down the skills behind effective UI and UX design. Using Figma, a free prototyping app, you'll develop clickable product designs and test them with real users. The class starts with user interface design, covering the shared visual language and standard patterns behind app and website interfaces, which you'll apply by building your own UI designs.
From there the class moves into user experience design: developing personas, user scenarios, and journey maps, then turning research into clickable prototypes you refine through testing. Your instructor also covers creative briefs, workflows, and portfolio development, and you'll see how AI is reshaping the field, from personalizing experiences to streamlining prototyping. You'll finish with portfolio projects demonstrating your skills.
