Turn database information into useful insights by learning how to write SQL queries. Students will start with the basics of working with tables, columns, and rows, then learn how to find and organize the exact information they need.
In this hands-on course, students use PostgreSQL and the free DBeaver app to explore databases and run SQL queries. They’ll learn how to filter and group data, combine information from multiple tables with JOIN statements, and use more advanced techniques like aggregate functions and subqueries. The SQL concepts covered in this course can also apply to other database tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, with small syntax differences.

If you attend the course in-person, we will have a computer already set up for you with all of the required software for no additional cost.
